Trees in Celia's paintings take on the form and texture of limbs, bridging the gap between sylvan and human beings. These canvases are generally large, filling the space with their presence.

Manchineel in Barbados; wind worn cedar in Yaqui, New Mexico; the hollie tree; and old moss covered forms from the New Jersey river plains are some of Celia's current subjects.
